
Kate has 20 years of experience working at three agencies in London and Cheltenham before becoming an independent PR consultant in 2020. She specialised in health after discovering that’s where her enthusiasm lay and has worked across several big household names in healthcare since.
Kate works directly with clients and as a consultant for marketing and PR agencies, acting as an extension of their teams.
She is an accredited member of the Chartered Institute of Public Relations (CIPR) and maintains her professional development through its CPD programme.
EXPERIENCE
- Working with an in-house PR team at EssilorLuxottica, the global leader in the design, manufacture and distribution of ophthalmic lenses, to provide PR support for B2B and B2C activity.
- Account directing the trade press office for Essilor Ltd optical solutions and running consumer CSR education campaigns on key issues including ‘Driving Blind’ and the dangers of UV eye damage.
- Launching a new network of dermatology clinics, Stratum Clinics, and its skin cancer & mole check service to the consumer press.
- Directing the press office for fashion eyewear show 100% Optical for four years in a row.
- Leading a small team to run PR campaigns for A.Vogel herbal remedies including key brand Echinaforce for colds & flu.
- Launching AAH Pharmaceuticals’ brand new All About Health ‘Ask you pharmacist’ consumer education programme to get people to use their local pharmacy as a first port of call for health advice.
- Regional PR support for LloydsPharmacy around store openings and promoting its Christmas gifts to shopping editors on the national & consumer press.
- Launching an ovulation tester by Maybe Baby and the Mimijumi bottle for combination fed babies, to the mother & baby media & parenting bloggers.
- Account managing a POM to P drug switch for Femstrual to help with menstrual issues.
- Running a trade press office for biotech company, Nova Laboratories & social media support to target the veterinary sector.
- Working on the consumer press office PR agency team for Boots and its Vitamins Minerals & Supplements division.
- Managing national campaigns to influence attitudes towards breastfeeding for Goldshield’s Kamillosan cream, working with midwives and doulas.
